Project goal and context
Sun in the Age is an international educational project implemented within the Erasmus+ KA220 (Adult Education) program, aimed at combating loneliness and social isolation among the elderly. These phenomena particularly intensified during the pandemic, when many seniors were without regular social contact for a long time, affecting their well-being and sense of security.
The project focused on using REMIND practices (relaxation, meditation, mindfulness) to strengthen the competencies of adult educators, social workers, and those working with seniors. The activities aimed to improve the quality of life for older adults and support professionals in their daily work with a group particularly vulnerable to the effects of isolation.
Project results
As part of the project, a set of practical tools and educational materials was developed to support the development of mindfulness in working with seniors:

These materials are based on practical exercises and examples, making them easily applicable in the work of institutions and organizations supporting older adults.

- social workers and medical staff in care homes,
- educators and trainers working with adults,
- cultural institutions, adult education centers, and cultural houses,
- private care facilities,
- adults aged 40–65 and seniors,
- public and private entities operating in the fields of health, education, and care.
